And, who could forget the basketball fun? The return of VIFF Live treated Vancouver audiences to two very special events showcasing the compelling connection between live music and cinema.
VIFF 2022 saw countless standing ovations, full houses, and truly engaged Q + As, talks and panel discussions with visiting and local creators. Being back inside the theatre with fellow cinephiles and filmmakers was an incredible reminder of the power of cinema to unite and connect. Brave and Beautiful (Cesur ve Güzel) was the launch of the season on Star TV in Turkey in late 2016, with Tuba Büyüküstün and Kvanç Tatltu in the leading.
Thanks to all the amazing film fans, filmmakers and volunteers, the 41st annual Vancouver International Film Festival was a resounding success.Īfter two years of virtual and hybrid festivals, it was thrilling to be able to gather in person again with local and international film communities.
